Heroverse® Kickstarter Has Concluded! A Thank You From Tom + Details On Late Pledging And Post-Campaign Surveys!

Thank you everyone for your incredible support! This is the first step in bringing much more Heroverse content to the world than we have in the past and you all helped make that happen.

Post Campaign Details:

There are a lot of questions coming in now that the Kickstarter is over, so let's dive in:

Q: I missed the campaign - can I still pledge?

A: Yes! We will have Late Pledges turned on once the BackerKit surveys are built!

Q: When will the BackerKit surveys be going out?

A: We are aiming to have surveys launch around the week of May 25th. When surveys do go out, they will go to the email address you have associated with your Kickstarter account. We'll do an update officially announcing when they have begun to go to everyone. It's worth noting though, that it can take BackerKit up to 48 hours to process all surveys fully. If at that point you still have not received one, please check your spam folder, and check that the email you used on Kickstarter is the email account you're checking.

Note For Apple ID Users:

Please note, if you use an Apple ID with your email address, a different email could be generated for you for security reasons, and as a result, you might not receive an email to your survey. If you need this email changed, please click here to direct message us so that we can help! (must be logged in to your Kickstarter account for this link to work)!"

Q: What's the purpose of the survey?

A: We use these surveys primarily for two reasons:

  • To collect shipping payments and addresses for all our backers, so that we can eventually send their pledge rewards.
  • To provide backers with the ability to modify the reward tier they selected or get a last chance to add-on items.

Q: How long will I have to complete my survey?

A: Our goal is to get as many surveys completed by backers as possible, so we give around 30 days from their launch to allow everyone proper time. If you need more than that, it's ok. :)

Q: When will my order arrive?

A: As noted in each reward tier, estimated fulfillment is set for November, 2026.

With fulfillment timelines, please be mindful of the following, which is noted on our FAQ:

The delivery dates associated with each reward are based on our anticipated production schedule. They are not guaranteed and, as they are described, are ESTIMATES. Once we finish surveys and all add-ons are locked we go into production on those items and will provide campaign updates throughout the process. Should dates shift, which is not uncommon, we will provide new estimated delivery dates in updates. Please note, that no date provided should be considered a locked and promised date until we have the books at the warehouse and until such time all estimated dates are subject to change.

With that said, Rocketship Entertainment has never had a funded Kickstarter that did not end up getting fulfilled, and you can view the status of all our projects, both in-production and fulfilled in the link below:

Q: Who can I talk to if I have questions, requests, or issues with my order?

A: If you have questions about your order, click here to DM us! Please always direct message us here on Kickstarter. We can't perform customer service on social media or in the comments section of the campaign page.

Thanks!

Funded! And a thank you from Heroverse® creator Tom Akel

Funded!

Thank you all for your support. While there are not many of you, you are MIGHTY!

When Vicky and I designed the basis of this game in grad school as our first game design project I really never thought it would be something that existed 20 days later, never mind 20+ years later. It's been a long time since then and since that first New York Comic Con.

I truly hope you enjoy the game once it's in your hands, which will not be long as the game is already ready for press. And please make sure to check out all the incredible artists who lent their talents to the game. They're all listed in the campaign and all have absolutely mind-blowing work you can find throughout comics, video games, and toys.

Thank you again, and we'll have fulfillment info coming once the campaign wraps.

Onward.

63% Funded! Making the Bonus Cards Kickstarter Backer Exclusives!
5 months ago – Mon, Apr 20, 2026 at 02:51:50 PM

63% there! Thank you all again for your support!

We have decided to make all 6 Bonus Cards in the campaign with art from superstar artists in comics and gaming Kickstarter Backer Exclusives that will not be included in any future retail release!

Here's a closer look at those cards:

First up is an alternate art card of Dust by League of Legends artist Gino Whitehall!

Next is an alternate art card of Talon by Marvel Studios artist Alex Drummond!

Here we have a new card, Ryo-Wo, who would replace Beowulf in the deck. As the grandfather of Trilar, Ryo-Wo grants him a +4 bonus if Ryo-Wo is your Commander and Trilar is a Soldier. With art by Sony artist Adam Frizzel and Masters of the Universe artist Nate Baertsch!

Next up is Altar, who would replace The Black Prince in the deck, with art by Arkham City artist Joel Styles!

And our final 2 cards - Socket and Hans. These cards would replace Trilar and Blindside. Socket is a 1 power card with a huge bonus if played against Dust and/or Wormhole. And if played as a Solider with Hans against any opponent, Has is +3.  With art by Gears of War and Marvel cover artist Alan Quah!

62% Funded One Week In!
6 months ago – Tue, Apr 14, 2026 at 03:20:41 PM

Thank you all so much! 62% of the way there in 7 days with over 3 weeks to go!

In case you haven't had a chance to look more closely at the cards, we'll post a few here that have special case mechanics!

First up is Cortex, with art by superstar video game and concept artist Björn Hurri!

Cortex has a leadership mechanic, which a few other cards in the game have as well. In this case, a player must play Cortex as a Commander, though she has a weak value, in order to give any Soldiers of the same affiliation a +3 bonus. It's a trade off between potentially losing control of the Power Source but strongly enhancing your Soldiers' chance to win the hand.

Next up is Wormhole, with art from Gears of War, Quake, and Marvel cover artist Alan Quah!

Wormhole has a unique mechanic in that he can trade places with your Commander after card reveals, potentially flipping the Solider battle to your favor while also likely sacrificing your Commander.

Finally let's look at Minstrel, with art from Mouse Guard creator David Petersen!

Minstrel's special ability is to negate any other abilities in play if she chooses to. While in most cases the player playing Minstrel would want to do this, you can see where you might want a character with an ability like Wormhole above to stay put!
